After the adjustment of supervision scope for special items crossing borders, specific changes in customs health quarantine requirements are as follows:
- For goods and items that fall under the management of drugs, veterinary drugs, and medical devices, customs will no longer implement health quarantine approval for special items crossing borders, and will no longer conduct health quarantine inspections as special items.
- If enterprises have obtained approval documents from relevant Chinese authorities for drugs, veterinary drugs, and medical devices, their applications to customs for importing corresponding goods will be considered as falling under the management of drugs, veterinary drugs, and medical devices.
- If enterprises have obtained approval documents from relevant Chinese or foreign authorities for drugs, veterinary drugs, and medical devices, their applications to customs for exporting corresponding goods will be considered as falling under the management of drugs, veterinary drugs, and medical devices.
- Environmental protection microbial agents for import and export are no longer subject to health quarantine approval for special items crossing borders. Customs will no longer conduct sampling and inspection of environmental protection microbial agents for health quarantine purposes.
